I'm the agency coach you've probably never heard of. I don't make content on YouTube, visit podcasts or drop "value" on TikTok.

Why? Because I actually run a profitable full-time agency - unlike most coaches and gurus.

I've been in digital marketing since 2017 - way back before it really became a 'thing'. I started my journey by gaining experience at a multi 7-figure branding agency with branches across the nation in Finland. Quite quickly I thought to myself, heck, there are so many things I could do better. I watched a few YouTube videos by Tai Lopez and started my own social media marketing agency.

Trust me when I say that I've been through it all. I've tried every single possible pricing model and thing to sell. I got my first client, a local jewellery store and offered to manage their Instagram. Tripled their followers in 30 days just to get our contract canceled a little later because "I don't see any ROI".

I shifted my focus towards lead gen and paid ads. With little to my name, I started cold calling with little luck. I landed my next trial client, a dentist to experiment with a 'pay per appointment' model.

We set up the ads, built a landing page, gave their front desk access to Google Sheets to follow up with leads and scheduled a results meeting 30 days later. Just half an hour later from launch and they got their first lead.

I was rubbing my eyes, could this really be true? My first ever lead from a Facebook ad. I was jumping for joy, I could already see myself driving a G-wagen with a million in my bank account because this had to work, right?

A month goes by and boy was I wrong, it was a nightmare. The front desk had just started following up with the +60 generated leads the previous day and was fuming since no one remembered what they had signed up for - 29 days earlier (what a shock).

As you can guess, the dental office didn't want to continue.

I was back to square one and even further down on my savings, I had to move back to my parents place 600 km away in Espoo, Finland.

By this time cold calling made me sick, I was desperate for clients and with my parents breathing down my neck I really wanted this to work, because I didn't want to get a 9-5 job. So I started sending cold messages to med spas on Facebook. A week of sending messages goes by and I got my second client - a med spa.

They didn't want a Clickfunnels landing page, but liked the idea of using Messenger so we built them a chatbot on Manychat to generate leads and agreed to bill them every 2 weeks based on the amount of appointments.

We built the bot, launched the ads and again, we got leads within 24 hours. First invoice ever was for 150€, the next for 250€. Eventually the business owner was pleased with our service and we agreed on a 500€/monthly retainer to run their branding, lead gen and retargeting ads.

The sweet nectar, my first taste of monthly recurring revenue. I was addicted.

I told my parents I got my first recurring client and I'd like to try running ads for myself, but this meant that I would have to stay a little longer to reinvest my profits. I had their blessing.

I knew that every single agency guru was selling their services for 1000-1500€/month and that's where I wanted to be.

I launched my ads with a 10€ day budget and got a few calls that month. I did my 45-minute slideshow to pitch my 1000€ monthly agency services - to my disbelief no one bought.

I should have learnt to stop and tweak my ads, but I didn't. I kept burning cash until I got a message from a med spa that I recognised. She had seen my ads and wanted to talk, so we setup a meeting at her office and she bought my 1000€ monthly service - just to discontinue 2 months later.

For months I was in an endless loop of gaining one client just to lose it the following month.

However, thanks to my parents almost 2 years later I had saved enough to be able to move out. I was terrified. What if I lost all my savings - again? My back was against the wall, I needed my agency to work.

Several years of trial-and-error and figuring things out the hard way had led me to this moment. I stopped everything for two weeks and reflected on why I had failed till this day. A common issue that I found, was that selling and fulfilling clients took too long forcing me into a rollercoaster of gaining and losing clients with no real traction.

I restructured my ads, pricing and sales method to a point where I could gain appointments automatically, close them in as little as 15 minutes and fulfil the next day.

Suddenly I was getting one new client every week.

Paid my rent and poured more money into my ads. More new clients came out the other end.

My existing clients stuck around for months, too.

Rinse and repeat, it really was working!

Fast forward to today: I now run a semi-automated agency that I enjoy with minimal stress, add 6-8 new clients a month and get them going in 60 mins. My agency provides for my wife and I, we live in a brand new high rise building in Helsinki, take extended weekends at 5-star hotels and drive a Porsche to client meetings.
